Got to DIY soap from 3D printing

Hi. The Background here. Not whispering that you bit off more than you can chew. Just a suggestion that you should.......... 1. Start with a plain, simple batch to get the feel of it. Then, you'll understand better what's happening as you change things. 2. Do all of your experiments in small...

2nd in the pot swirl attempt

And, you don't need to wait for weeks or so for the shreds to cure. They will cure right along with the new soap you add them to.

    Oh... Well...

I believe it stays. Once it's cured, it will get used up quickly (three men showering daily), but I will separate one from the batch for longer observation.

    Oh... Well...

Here's the update after about 3 days. The lighter color has gone purple. The green has darkened and gone a little gray. I can see the rind is a little darker, so I expect it will continue to change over time.

    Gaius the Grad

I think that's why the school has them give the moms roses. They know who is most likely driving them to and from school/sports/drama and guiding them through schoolwork/projects/girlfriends. (I understand that some households are different, but that's the norm at our school)

    Gaius the Grad

I'm posting this here because some of you know that Gaius started me on my soaping journey when he was in the second grade. Well, he is now a high school graduate with plans to become an electrician! Crazy. Pictured: The school has a tradition that the graduate carries a rose to their mother...

So... Dragon's Blood... Did you already know that it's going to discolor to brown?
  14. artemis

    Oh... Well...

I was using up the tail end of my free sample of Mountain Mist FO (CS) by blending it with White Eucalyptus FO (also CS). I forgot all about Mountain Mist's bad habit of discoloring to a sort of mauve color. There goes my pretty soft green. Just a small batch. Still smells nice. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Whodunnit? The RBO or the floral FO?

Call me crazy, but I'm thinking it's the FO.

    Discolored soap

I don't think TD is going to help. You can plan the tan color into your design, though. Reserve some of the batter to add your color to. Then, add the FO to th breast of the batter. The colored portion will stay nice while the rest discolors. Unless you have a particularly difficult FO that...

Virgin CO in CP soap ?

It will stay around for about a minute. I have used it in an unscented soap and it was faintly there when I cut it, but by the end end of the day, it was gone. Cocoa butter scent stuck around for a little bit longer, but only for a day or two. I have never tried hazelnut oil because it is...
