    Is brambleberry slow?

Yes, it takes forever to get to S. FL. I do like their products though!

    Hate making HP Soap!

No you can't make all the pretty swirls, but I love the marbling in HP soap. I have this Sweet Orange & Patchouli soap where you can see all of the orange color from the sweet orange oil swirled throughout. Quite pretty. You can't beat the cure time!

Super cute ideas! I would skip the tinkle one, even though I like it best. Boy, I wish I was in their class!

    Mold Measures

Hi All! I'm very confused about the measurements of my new crafter's choice silicone mold #1501. The website said that it will hold 40-44 ozs. I made a 44 oz batch intending to use one mold. I ended up using both molds and filled the molds almost to the top. I only used 1 oz of FO, 1 tbsp of...

Hope to be a new soaper next week!

Remember...KISS when making your first batch. Like TEG said I would make a very simple OO, CO, Palm soap, so you don't even have to use scents. It's cheap and makes a nice bar with a nice soap smell. Good luck and let us know how it went.

    Saving Seized Soap Cupcake Frosting

Thanks for the tip, Isg! I was thinking of making some cupcake soaps for the girls in the office for St. Valentine's Day. They all look good, but that first one on the left is perfection! Did you scent them with lemon? That is what I smelled when I saw them. I don't know why my mind does that.

Trying the soap recipe Hazel gave me

I hear you! I get the same reaction here! It's like saying I make my soap with poop. So have I'm only making lard soap for myself, and when they ask about my beautiful skin I'll say...lard, baby, lard!

First attempt with color, scent and swirl - Fudge Brownie

Your soaps turned out yummy looking! You got a nice swirl going and everything. Did you use Fudge Brownie from Crafter's Choice? How did it behave? I just bought it and LOVE the smell and will be using it this week.

    My First Genny's Shampoo Bar

Welcome! Beautiful soap! Do you presently sell or just make soap for yourself? I LOVE Genny's poo-bar!! I've been using it for several months and my hair has never felt or looked better. I did HP it, so mine wasn't as soft right from the mold and now it's nice & hard. I was out of avocado...

    My pretties

Too pretty to be a shampoo bar! Have you tried spraying the tops with alcohol right after you mold it? I've been able to control mine with that method.

Castile for the New Year anyone?

Mine are on my drying rack for about 6 wks, then they'll go into plastic shoe box with holes. This is how I store me other soaps.
