    How does this look???

I sent my daughter a variety of soaps I made along with this one. Of course she ignored the use the unscented one first directions from Mom, and went for the one she thought smelled the best. She texted me “FYI, first time in a long time that I've taken a shower and didn't feel uncomfortable in...

    Being Eco friendly question

Just want to preface this with I’m 100% aware that I’m no where near ready to start selling my soaps yet, I need at least another 8 months minimum experience. But, I do eventually want to do some local markets just for fun and hopefully get enough to repurchase materials to support my addiction...

Need help fixing an error please

I tried the LS recipe that @IrishLass shared using glycerin. I misunderstood the KoH dilution, I dissolved the KoH in the same amount of distilled water, and added the glycerin as the amount of liquid shown. I got stubborn about seeing the “flying bubbles” and forgot that I didn’t need to blend...

Holy moly that stuff is amazing!!! I am so in love with this stuff🥰, definitely made a big difference. I stumbled on a post about this magical ingredient ( Thank you @KiwiMoose & @Mobjack Bay for all you words of wisdom and how to add it to the soapcalc) This and sorbitol got me to my perfect to...

    Dry skin

I don’t know if your using coconut oil in your recipe, after getting a ton of advise, it is recommended to keep that at 20% or lower, some skin can tolerate higher. Personally I can’t without feeling that tight dry feeling.

    Dry skin

I’m really in love with my lard soaps, I replace the palm with the lard, and keep the super fat at 2-3%.

Recommend oil temp for Shea in CP soap?

I’m by no means an expert, but I use 10% shea in my recipe, and jeep to the 40/60 ish ratio of hard to liquid oils. I use the 33% lye that alioop recommended to me. I like to soap at a range of 100 - 105. I get a nice fluid batter. I’ve never used the soy wax, so I don’t know how that can come...

Wet skin moisturizer in bar form

Thank you! It never occurred to me to replace a softer solid oil with a harder solid oil🤦‍♀️ I didn’t like that it was harder to rub on my skin than I thought it would be so I was going to lower the exfoliants a tad. I used Jasmine rice, red beans from Walmart and eyeballed the almond flour...

Wet skin moisturizer in bar form

@AliOop can I pick your brain please? I just made the Lush Buffy bar dupe and was looking at the body butter bar from Whole Elise. Do you think swapping kokum butter for the cocoa butter in the Buffy dupe would make it last longer? I love it, but I can’t justify the cost vs longevity. For the...
