HP in the oven. Still watching!!

The lye cooled down a LOT as I was getting everything ready, so it went into a 175 degree oven at about 125 degrees (batter). I'm guessing that will add a little oven time. Also, does degree of trace effect how long the oven time is? It feels like it would.

Yes, the lye should dissipate in a day or two, depending. I do Not use soap to clean them up, they will be nice and soapy for you! My problem is keeping 'dirty dishes' out of sight!! DH wouldn't find it amusing! I am guilty of dry lye hands, it can be annoying trying to clean EVERYTHING up...

Yay! Congratulations! I'm new as well, I like the clean up better with HP, for sure. For cp, I have either left my gloves on during clean up, or left the clean up for a couple of days later when things are no longer zappy!!

For smaller molds, I'm going to give that a try. My bigger molds ave been ok, thus far. It's so hard to gauge with smaller molds. Trial and error!! They both came out ok, regardless of whatever that was on top of the one.
