    Soapers Choice Soap Base?

I just tried their detergent free soaps and didn't like them. I sell and use SFIC. I haven't tried their cheaper bases with detergents. The ingredient list for these are the same as Soapers Choice.

    Soapers Choice Soap Base?

I wish they wanted CP Soap rat- but that soap will never come out of those plastic molds. Of course, they wanted clear soap too. Thanks for the feedback for CC soap. I have used it and it didn't work for me. I usually use SFIC base but it's way too expensive for the amount of soap I have to...

New to the World of Soaps!

Several months is quick. I would say several years since there are so many facets to running a soap business or any business at all. As a matter of fact- I lost money for the first couple of my selling years. I would just start with melt and pour while you research other soap making methods...

    First soap-First big problem...

I found the same with liquid soap- the bubbles weren't great even with multiple recipes. I have never had a cloudy issue but I would love to know what it is from someone who does liquid soap.

Curious about adding food to soap

You have obviously never tried a well made Pumpkin or Cucumber soap or for that matter a soap with honey in it. Google Pumpkin in soap..there are benefits to it even in a rinse off product. I have Pumpkin soap that has lasted years and years with no mold or rot same with milk soaps. I would...

    Soapers Choice Soap Base?

I am in the Chicago area- the northwest suburbs. :) I never thought to ask Mike. I wish they wanted CP soap but alas they want pretty molded heart bars- LOL. It's just so cliche. Thanks for all the opinions and I will go pick some up today. I really appreciate it!

    Differences between hp and cp

LOL..Ick because a crockpot will always dry out your soap. :) It creates a lumpy soap at least every time I have ever tried it that way. I do know some people who can turn out a nice soap with one though. I do OHP or double boiler but I like OHP better, I don't have to babysit as much. The key...

    Mica newbie...

With melt and pour soap you can just eyeball the color. For CP or HP- it's calculated more by some. I wouldn't use oil to mix with your mica for MP soap. You can do a couple of things- Glycerin would work just a stitch and mix it with the mica or you can use a teeny bit of soap base to mix the...

    Soapers Choice Soap Base?

So I have to ask. Normally I make my MP soap (which isn't that often) using SFIC bases which I enjoy once in awhile. But I got hooked into doing wedding favors for my brother for free.:wtf: I don't keep that much soap base around and I really need to get cracking on these heart favors.:sick...

    HP girl tries CP

Oh I see..I never have lumpy hp I can pour it most of the time. If the HP is so lumpy that you have to use a potato masher then you are cooking at too high of a temp. Crockpots are notorious for being too hot. Thanks for letting me know- I was racking my brain trying to figure out why. LOL

    HP girl tries CP

I'm lost- why would you use a potato masher for HP?

    Goat's milk soap

First things first- you shouldn't be selling anything until you learn the soaping process especially Milk soaping- there are a lot of variables there. It will take you at the very least a good year before you should sell anything. Now onto the soap making stuff: Start to research goat milk...

First CP batch - What is this on my soap

:) You deserve it- the soap looks nice even with that half pic- a whole pic would be good since we love the pics around here. :)

    Grainy Lye Mixture

I always run my lye threw a stainless sieve just in case. I have never seen crystals on a cp soap- that can't be good.
