    Slippery shower floor

Its not especially soft. It is city treated water. When we were on a well the water was hard. But now on the city water supply I wouldn't call it particularly hard or soft. That isn't something I had thought of tho. Thank you for bringing it up πŸ™‚

    Slippery shower floor

My husband is testing a bar in the shower and he loves it. His feed back is that he finds the shower floor slippery when he uses it. I thought I recently read a comment in a thread stating that one cause could be too high SF, but I can not find it now. So I thought I'd put it out here to see if...

    Confessions of a soapmaker

All of this! ☝☝☝☝ Looking at the roses my husband got me for our anniversary last week and feeling like I should be able to dry the petals and use them at least on a soap top. And I can't throw away the tubes from inside the paper towel rolls or a Pringles can!

Batch sizes, just oil or everything?

I'm glad you brought this up. I am also pretty new so this always throws me. I have come to learn that most mean total oils, not total batch. However when looking at descriptions of loaf molds, say on a supplier website, I get confused. Are they talking the total size loaf or oils only πŸ€” So if i...

    Sunset Crescent

Cool! I have an idea that is probably way to complicated for someone who has not yet tried a scraper, and tried to cut it out of cardboard box. The cardboard is so beat up just from cutting it that I haven't dared to try it on soap. I will have to try a plastic lid. I had not thought of that...

Absolutely beautiful! I'm sorry if I missed it somewhere else, did you use a scraper for your mountains? I have the holo glitter from Nurture too and it is so pretty. These are gorgeous 😍

My Birthday Cakes! and first time soap frosting

The soda ash kind of looks like a dusting of powdered sugar to me, lol. I tried the steamer trick this weekend on a bar from a batch with heavy ash. It took a few passes, but it worked.
