My husband is testing a bar in the shower and he loves it. His feed back is that he finds the shower floor slippery when he uses it. I thought I recently read a comment in a thread stating that one cause could be too high SF, but I can not find it now. So I thought I'd put it out here to see if anyone has any thoughts on how to prevent this. I did search this topic in general but didn't find much that helps my particular issue, however I could have missed something. I am also wondering if it could be the high CO, since it is higher in soluability?

Recipe used:
40% Olive Oil
30% Coconut Oil
15% Cocoa Butter
10% Shea Butter
3% Castor Oil
2% Beeswax
(I cant remember which website I found this recipe on atm, and don't really remember why it includes beeswax. None of my others include it. I assume for harder bar or make is last longer?)

5% SF
31% Lye concentration

TIA for your insights!

Is your water soft? That would make the bar feel more slippery.
Its not especially soft. It is city treated water. When we were on a well the water was hard. But now on the city water supply I wouldn't call it particularly hard or soft. That isn't something I had thought of tho. Thank you for bringing it up 🙂
