    Bath bomb colour dispersment

I have not. I make either round bath bombs or use my mooncake press.

    Mica Storage

I don’t mix my micas with alcohol as in MP it can cause it to set up. I just mix my micas right into the MP until it’s the desired color. I should state I don’t do a lot of MP. Mostly for embeds. Are you asking he to store the micas or soap with micas. My needs to be wrapped once made. I...

Saving cold process soap with low fragance

No not really. The only way to do that would be to re-batch it. Which personally is a pain. So I don’t do that.

    Bath bomb colour dispersment

Hello and welcome. Be sure to go to the introduction forum and tell us a bit about yourself. I’m not sure what wonder colors are. I use lakes dye in my bombs and have had good results. I’ve also used micas in some. I don’t make a lot of bombs though.

    Solving my squeaky soap problem.

Give it a try and see how you like it. It should be better than your first recipe. However, I’m one who finds high OO soap drying to my skin so don’t use it in soap over 20-25%. So it’s a personal choice plus testing different combinations. I like HO sunflower or Safflower or avocado instead...

Nope, my soap sinks to the bottom. Even 4-5 year or older soap in the tub.

Can i blend soap ingriedients together and make my own blend of soap?

That’s not making soap. It’s diluting already made soap and adding glycerine. What purpose? Just curious.

    I'm a newbie.

Hello and welcome. I’m from Michigan as well. Different markets have their own requirements. However, here you just need to register for a tax ID # and though not necessarily required you should have insurance. If you have a business name it needs to be registered with the City Clerks office...

Tight skin feeling when using CP soap

I would highly recommend using a chelator. Upping the SF will likely cause more soap scum.

    Soap too soft

You’ve got a lot of liquid oils therefore it’s going to be soft longer. Did it gel? 2 oz isn’t too much fo for 40 oz batch of soap. As long as it’s within the usage rate for that fo.

Adding silk at .11 per cent of the weight of the batch of soap

Why do you need to weigh or have a percentage. I don’t understand that. Just curious. I add about the size of a small cotton ball per batch that I’m master batching. I don’t think I could get it to weigh out unless I use my small scale.

    Understanding FO percentages

That usage is based on IFRA. It’s the amount that can be used on the skin safely diluted. In soap I use 6% pop with little exception. This subject come s up fairly often. It’s a personal choice. I and my customers like heavier scented soaps. 1-3% would never fly for me for the most part...
