Does anyone here use a hot plate in their business?

Yes, I only use stainless steel. Apparently, that's one of those that can use it. I have seen the NuWave ones online and they are definitely not cheap. Like $80 not cheap. I'll have to try the magnet trick first.

Thanks that would be appreciated. What was the cost?

Does anyone here use a hot plate in their business?

I've been debating buying one to use to heat things like oils, emulsifying wax, etc rather than using my stove and microwave. In order to use them for my business, they need constant cleaning when they are my personal ones. It's aggravating. It will be much easier to keep clean if I have...

    Best packaging labels/Shipping advice

Welcome. 1. Depends where you live. I live in Louisiana so I wouldn't. The heat and humidity would erase all the info in minutes of exposure. 2. I'm not currently doing wholesale so I can't help with this. I know alot of people have it as their bread and butter but I don't like giving up...

Opinions on size for my bath bomb labels?

I think it looks much better. Though the writing is kind of tiny. But then, the writing on a tube of toothpaste is tiny too.

Ethical Considerations (for me) for soapmaking

No, sorry if it came off that way, it was just a general statement.

    Best place to get tallow??

Walmart that I can think of. I don't generally use tallow. It seems to be much more expensive than lard.

Ethical Considerations (for me) for soapmaking

That's awesome. Wish we had one near me. My dad retired years ago and I live about 1900 miles away. I tried to find a place in my area that would supply it but they refused to sell it to me. Not sure why. I'm betting they have special permits they need to get to sell it so aren't willing.

Opinions on size for my bath bomb labels?

So this is what I did. This is the same bath bomb. Does this look like a better size to you?

Ethical Considerations (for me) for soapmaking

Consider this... the animals are going to die whether you use anything from them or not. Humans eat animals, especially pigs, cows, chickens, and turkey (in the US and Canada anyway). Would you rather contribute to the landfills by just throwing a bunch of the animals carcass away or would you...

Opinions on size for my bath bomb labels?

Yes, but that seems like a twice the amount expense. After market tomorrow (it's my first day back since March), I'll post a picture to show what I did. But now I think the tag is too small lol.

    Lip balm advice.

Try the brand Lakanto. It tastes just like sugar but very slightly less sweet. It's made with monk fruit and erythritol. Erythritol can give stomach aches in large amounts but they are mixed at an amount that just tastes good without side effects. You can get it at walmart. My husband has...

    Pumpkin embed molds???

One of my absolute favorite soap makers. I wish I lived in the UK. She has a bunch of molds and stuff I want to buy from her.

Opinions on size for my bath bomb labels?

Actually I just made those tonight for my soap. They wouldn't work for bath bombs though. Unfortunately, I live in an extremely humid environment. If the bath bombs aren't sealed, they will go off.
