    Disney scents

I'll have to put buttercream & snickerdoodle on my list. It sounds delish! And work on my dole whip scent... At WDW they have a ride that goes through their greenhouses. All of the produce in there looks amazing. It was all I could do to not grab a pineapple as we floated by. I don't...

    Disney scents

I've never been to Disney Land, only Disney World. We have annual passes, even though we live in WI. Someday I'll visit Disney Land! I was also thinking of maybe the scents from Soarin. Ocean, orange grove, pine forest...

Yum! Do you know of any suppliers that have good "dupes" of these? I'd totally make a Dole Whip soap!

    Disney scents

I'm a bit of a Disney nerd. We go to Disney World every year. This year I picked up a Mickey Mouse shaped silicone muffin pan and it was pointed out to me that the soaps I make in it should smell like "Disney". So, on the off chance there are other Disney nerds here, does anyone have...

    Copra sap value

I found this sap listing which includes coprah. I don't know how reliable the source is though. http://www.cd3wd.com/cd3wd_40/cd3wd/APPRTECH/G20HOE/EN/B541_4.HTM

    Tips and tricks, post yours?

I use alcohol to spray the tops of my soap to prevent ash. When I clean up I give my scale and body of my stick blender a spritz and I wipe them off with paper towel. It helps get the oil off of them since I don't want to submerge them in water or anything.

Thank you! The blue is ultramarine blue, very light handed.

    Fruity Rings

Just cut. I probably cut them too soon, but I think I'll be able to clean them up once they cure a little. I'm pleased with how the colors turned out. They smell just like Fruit Loops, its uncanny!

    My first peacock. :)

Thanks! :) And if I use that FO, my soap will be as pretty as yours, right?

    My first peacock. :)

Its beautiful! Where did you get your FO from? NG has a sweet orange chili pepper that I'm really tempted to try.

    Need tips for horizontal cut

Just spit balling here...but I wonder if a hacksaw would work? The blades all have teeth, but I wonder if you could get one fine enough not to show on the loaf???

Reminder not to rush.. Failed column pour.

it might not be as colorful as you intended, but it is still very beautiful! It's very...classy looking. Ombre is so popular right now, and this kind of reminds me of that.

    Post your oops!

A few weeks ago we were having a heat wave and, of course, my air died. But i REALLY wanted to make soap. I foolishly had grandios plans to do a swirl. By the time it was in the mold I was a sweaty disgusting mess. I asked my son to get the door so I could put the soap in the fridge when he...

Have you ever regretted soaping a fragrance?

I wanted to try a beer soap but only had a couple of bottles of FO left. The earl gray tea seemed like the best fit, so I went for it. It was not good. A friend who sniffed it said it smelled like grandma's attic.

How accurate must the measuring be?

When I use soapcalc I first create my recipe using percentages. Once I have one I like, I switch over to grams and round up or down to get rid of the decimals. Then I calculate again. I still have to round up water and down lye since they still will have a decimal, but at least the oils are...

Adding home grown aloe vera to hp, cp and m&p?

ok, so I have one of the house plant types of aloe, the little ones. I ran some through my magic bullet back in Jan and made some soap with it. I pretty well liquified it, skin and all. After making the soap it was green. Quite pretty actually. I ended up rebatching it and it stayed green. I...

    Different Molds

I've used a PVC pipe once. I lined it by just rolling freezer paper and dropping it in. It worked pretty good. To cap the end I got what i think is called a test cap? They were right by the pipes. I stuck a small square of freezer paper over that before I put it on the end. Then i put some tape...

    Raw Tussah Silk

It sounds dumb, but it just makes my soap feel silky. There have been bars that I forgot I put silk in, but as soon as I use it, I can tell. I got mine from http://www.villagespinweave.com/IBS/SimpleCat/product/ASP/product-id/36941465.html I looked around a few places and this one was the most...
