I didn't think I would have it in me to get anything *fun* done this weekend but I just finished cleaning up after making some lemon EO with a touch of vanilla FO soap. Forgot to add sodium lactate (Usually my soaps never harden without it.) But I used shea butter and cocoa butter in this recipe so hopefully it will be hard enough to take out tomorrow. It was also my first time doing a pencil line with cocoa powder. I don't think it will turn out right because I didn't have a little sifter thingy to do it with. We will see though...

Planning on making a confetti soap with leftover valentine's day soaps that were scented with lily of the valley FO. I also hope to tackle a peacock swirl soap, just haven't decided what scent to use.....:???:

Made my first goats milk soap with aloe vera gel. So cold here, I put the mold outside under the deck to prevent gel.

I need to scent and package up some GLS for some friends. Its made and has its preservative. I'm just tired and don't feel good, so I don't particularly feel like standing in the kitchen measuring and mixing *yawn* Of course, it wouldn't be QUITE so tedious if I had my dining table cleared off but I have boxes of goodies sitting on it for a private swap that I need to divvy up and repackage as soon as the last box gets here.

Last night I finally got around to ordering a new scale - got an email this morning that it has shipped - yay! Also ordered some new EO's - lavender 40/42, lime, vetiver, and ylang ylang. Today i made up 6 master batches of oil then I made a batch of beer soap, brown with a cocoa pencil line and blue layer on top. Scented with cedarwood and orange. Thinking about a batch of shampoo bars or maybe some honey yogurt bars as I just got a new jar of honey today... not sure I have it in me tonight. :)

This weekend I made my 5th batch of soap. It has rosemary EO in it. I also tried dropping coconut oil to 15%. My first batch of soap had 25% coconut oil in it. I don't think that it is horrible - I just think it is not conditioning enough.

I plan to make a Shea butter soap tomorrow if I wake up in time (which shouldn't be much of a problem). I think it is going to be a mix of Indian Sandalwood FO and Cedarwood EO. Are there any problems with mixing EOs and FOs?

Badger, I do it, too. No problems. Mostly mix lavender EO with other FO's.

I made a facial soap for dry skin/mature skin today. I am interested to see how it will turn out. I don't have dry skin myself, so I am lining up testers.

I do not know what I will make tomorrow. I am debating doing a soap with a combo of Anjou Pear Blossom FO and Acai Berry FO. Burt's Bees (their line is called Güd) has this new lotion out called Pearanormal Activity with those two scents, and I LOOOOVE it.

Pearanormal Activity? I am not sure if I should laugh or cry at that.. hehehe :) It does sound like a nice fruity mix though.

Its Sunday afternoon here and I've just finished a citrus EO blend with orange, lemon and white colours. It accelerated on me so fast , so I stick blended it within an inch of its life  and shoved it into the mould, put the wire in and moved it up, down, round and round, smoothed the top then added some spoon indentations for luck and glitter. Fingers crossed, its in the frig now. I'll take it out Monday morning and let it sit all day before unmoulding in the evening.

I made my beer soap. I don't know what it will do because I could not make up my mind to gel or not gel. Left it uncovered for awhile and then covered it up.

Still no soaping activity here. But I did find yet another local store that has soaping supplies. Coconut oil (alas in what looks like 16oz bottles) was found, which I am quite happy about. I swear I think I am just going to find a way to get supplies while my mom is out, just make a batch of soap and surprise her with the results. LOL
