So, for whatever reason, today I decided to read through my oldest posts from when I first joined SMF in January.

I feel like I've been around here (SMF) and making soap, lotion, etc. for ages, yet when I looked at the date of the post regarding a question I had about my fourth batch of soap, I couldn't believe it... JUNE 5th!!! A MONTH AND A HALF AGO?!!! I guess I didn't realize how much soap I had been making recently until then (I'm almost up to 30 batches under my belt).

Geez... just when you're starting to feel like an expert....

haha, tell me about it. I started just over a month ago, but I've been soaping every day...usually 2-3 batches. I feel like I've learned so much, but when forum regulars come on and talk about batches from previous years it quickly humbles my budding soaping ego.

I have a lot to learn! :D

EXACTLY!

I made my first 3 batches all at once, then nothing besides developing my lotion for a few months until I ran out of soap, but since then it's been GO GO GO! Every time I think I know "everything," someone points out something that I never knew!

(sigh...)

I was about to say "well, at least it's fun learning!" but then I remembered the 'learning' part usually happens when you say "oooh, that's what a seize looks like..." etc.

TOTALLY!! Thought I had it down (after 4 batches, the first having been trashed), then I got my first seize... I saved it, but still...

GOOD TIMES! <----- sarcasm
