Hi Everyone,

I am new to the world of candle making. I bought my first candles 2 weeks ago and have been hooked! I decided that I wanted to make my own candles since it would be economical. One of the scents that I want to recreate is the Woodwick Vanilla Bean, Caramel and Biscotti, I am in LOVE with this fragrance:

I went to Nature's Garden and they do sell all three fragrances. WoodWick uses a soy blend wax with wood wicks, of course. Have any of you tried to recreate a fragrance with success? What are the odds that buying these 3 fragrances will have a similar smell to that of WoodWick? They seem to be very basic fragrances so I am hoping that it should not be difficult to achieve.

Thanks in advance.

It is not as economical as you think. Anytime you use a different fragrance you will have to test the wick. Anytime your wax changes you will have to test again. Same if you use a different container. Ditto for color.

Oh my! I wish that were true. But welcome to the (expensive) addiction nevertheless.
