Hi, I am noticing a lot of products with aloe vera, oils, water and waxes that contain no preservatives. Such as this beauty http://www.nourishusda.com/shop/2-pack- ... body-wash/ - click on the right where it says Full Ingredients List. How is it possible these products contain no preservatives? I didn't think you could have a product with water + aloe without a preservative.. maybe I'm just misremembering some information. :) Any help truly appreciated.

I would imagine the ph of the product you refer to is around 10 so that's too high for any nasties to grow.

Also, I know of one preservative (Naticide) which can be listed (in the EU anyway) as fragrance/parfum so is not easily spotted as a preservative.

Isnt it so that ingredients used under 1% dont have to be on the label? Believe I read that somewhere...

I believe that they need to be listed but don't need to be in descending order of % used.

Hmmm... I know you don't have to add preservatives to bar soap - but liquid soap? I was thinking, the ingredients list looks to me like a liquid castile soap I use - but it doesn't contain aloe vera. Still scratching my head.
