Made an awesome CP goatsmilk & Lavender soap last night. After researching, I discovered that FD&C blue 1 is not stable in CP and turns purple. Perfect! I thought...I dont have to mix red and blue...I'll just use blue in my lavender soap and it'll turn purple.
So why is my soap still blue??? :(

Will it morph over time? I kind of got the impression that it happened right away...something to do with the high PH of the lye?

It could still change. I wanted a peach colour and used orange liquid colour, it came out bright pink  . The next day when I unmoulded it and let it sit, it changed back to the peach colour I needed.

Fingers crossed! Im not good with the waiting, hehehe. Its been almost 24hours, and I unmolded this morning (see, no patience!).
Wondering if the goatsmilk lowered the PH of the lye? (I did half and half water/GM)...will go google...

When I've had colors morph from high PH, it started changing color within a few hours. It's never taken longer since the PH is highest right away.
