Well my former boss's wife just notified me that she's placing an order with me through my website. She owns a small herb shop in Georgia and wants to try placing them there. I'm going to go ahead and try it, despite not having insurance yet. I know, I know....but i just want to see what happens. I'm working really hard on all this to try to make a go of it. Please wish me luck. I'm hoping to have everything, including my insurance, in order really soon.

Good luck Jen! Hopefully, with the money you receive from the tall order you can put towards insurance. I'm in the same boat you are. I will probably be cashing out some vacation pay, to cover insurance until I'm actually pulling some real money in.

Best of luck

I have visited your site and it's very tidy and easy to use so I am not surprised that person has faith in you from that.
You and your daughter look gorgeous.
Re the inssurance ,I too have given it a lot of thought.
I tossed it arround with some pretty sensible who looked at what really is the risk.
It's a beautiful well thought out product.
It is tested on very sensitve skin: ie mine.
Good documentation is part of the process.
Also I have become a little weary from our fear based culture and try to work from a pro active stand point which in this case means all of the above.
Maybe thats part of the leap of faith.
:)

thank you all for your encouragement. my website messed up her total but i can easily fix it. alsp she didn't order the minimum of 25...she only got 20 but i won't say anything for now since i know her and she was overcharged

How exactly would I label for wholesale? Would I put my name on it? Would I even package the soap individually or just put each kind in one big bag? I know I need to list ingredients but i'm not sure how to label because i don't know what she's going to do with them after she gets them.

When some one buys wholesale the expectation is that they are retail ready, just as they would be if you were selling them on your website or in your own shop.

When you sell w/o a label it's called private label. That allows your customer to place their label on the soaps.

Ok so private label isn't the same thing as selling wholesale? I didn't know there was a difference. So I should just package them as i do for regular orders? I asked her if she wanted naked or wrapped bars but she hasn't responded yet.

So I should just package them as i do for regular orders?
Yes, unless she specifies otherwise. Wholesale is you normal retail product but at a discounted price.
