This is a question for those selling their soaps wholesale. A local store is interested in buying my soaps I was wondering how many bars do you make them buy to get the wholesale price? Thanks in advance 8)

I make mine in loaves. Each loaf is 13 bars. So, I'd probably offer mine by the loaf.

It depends too, on how much space they have to sell your product and how many kinds they're buying.

You want them to be successful with it so they'll buy more, so maybe make up an assortment of 4 bars of each of 6 kinds or something... Then, they can see how it goes without investing too much, but still have an attractive variety to display.

My minimum initial wholesale order is 250, then after that it's 100. It may be low, but it works for me.

I sell to stores at the wholesale price no matter how many they buy. They are local and only buy small amounts at any one time. I replenish them as needed. HTH~

I sell soaps in a minimum of 12 but also make them assortable so they don't have to get 12 of all one bar, just 12 total per order. It seems to work since it's a low number for stores and they don't have to worry when taking on a new product.

I sell a minimum of 16 soaps of different designs which they choose. I think is better to have a lower initial price, lower than $100 because if your minimums purchases are too high then you won't have a lot of wholesale accounts. Specially among small retailers in this economy.
