Depends on where you're located for shipping costs, but I've used www.thelyeguy.com Other soapers use different places.

You could try essential depot or duda diesel on line.

You could also check to see if there are any chemical suppliers that are local to you that will sell to private individuals. In that case, you're probably talking about 50 lb. bags.

I buy mine locally, well sort of, in the 50# bag. You'll just have to search around and compare quantities and shipping charges. Like said, depends on how far they have to ship to you.

Wow, thanks for mentioning thelyeguy.com...I bought 12 lbs of lye for $40, including shipping. That's half the cost I was paying for Roebic Crystal Drain Opener in Lowe's!

I have used and been happy with Essential Depot in the past, but last time I ordered from AAA Chemicals mostly because their shipping was less (to Washington). Best price I could find.

I'm also in Washington and I drive down to Oregon to get mine it's cheaper and no shipping costs. But the first time I bought it I also got mine from Essential Depot..

I only had a pound of lye left so I got on this site to find the best price:

It really all depends on where you live on what the shipping will be but for the best price on lye AAA seems good. There was one other vendor in Florida someplace that had the same price on lye but aaa was closer to me.
