Getting it to harden so it can be unmolded (and cut, for loafs), is one of my concerns. I'm not patient, so having to wait several days just to unmold, and at least several days more before I can cut is driving me BATTY.

I used to be impatient about unmolding. Now I don't mind waiting too much. I just took two loaves out of molds tonight. The first was an ungelled buttermilk one from last week. Yeah, a little slow about getting it out of the mold. But it slid out easily and the sides are perfect. The other one was a HP loaf so no problems. The third one felt a little soft so I left it and I'll check it tomorrow. The buttermilk loaf that I remembered to bring in from the patio yesterday probably won't be ready to come out until Friday. I'll confess to being a little impatient with this one. After much kvetching, I finally got around to making another buttermilk "spa" soap. The only reason I call it "spa" is because of the scent (tea, lavender, lemongrass and clary sage) and the colors (cream, blue and green). I also used 100% buttermilk which I normally don't do. I usually use the split method for milk soap. Unfortunately, I had very little clary sage left so I wasn't able to add as much as I prefer.

I'm wondering if enough heat would be held in if you set the loaves on a heating pad, then cover with a cardboard box and towels. I'm just throwing that out since I'm not sure what would work.
