where do i get lye?

Can i buy it in a local store or do i have to order it online? If so, where are some sites i can get it at?

As far as I read here you can get it at hardware stores like Home Depot or Lowes in the plumbing section.
It must say that it's 100% lye = sodium hydroxide.

The crystal drain opener from 'Roebic' is apparently the same.
