When to add aloe vera?

I have only tried out a few basic CP recipes and they've all worked well, but I would like to try some new additives. I've read that some add honey to their soap, or cream, and I have also been thinking about adding powdered aloe vera. When and how would you add this? Would you dissolver it in the water that you dissolve the lye in or would you add it as a powder before you pour the soap in the mold? When do you add honey and cream, also before you pour it into the mold?

I have never used powdered aloe only the gel or juice. I add the juice to ice and use as part of the liquid for the lye. If I am using the gel, I add it to the fragrance and add it right before I pour into the mold.

Thank you! I think I might try and dissolve it in water or oil and go from there..

I add mine at the trace because I feel like it will maintain the integrity better. :?
