My FREE custom soap stamp from Owosso Graphics came in last week. It is made of magnesium and looks awesome!

Anyway, I've already ruined about 4 soaps trying to use it. ;) Three of them had been cut for about 3-4 days, so I guess they were a little too hard.

The fourth I tried stamping right after cutting and the soap stuck to the grooves in the stamp, so I will have to keep cleaning it out every time, if I do it that way.

Is there a suggested time frame to stamp your CP soaps? I know it's all about the pressure I put on the stamp too, but all four times I tried with different pressure and my stamp either smooshed right into the soap or cracked it.

What am I doing wrong? :( Should I run the stamp under hot water before stamping? Are there any tricks like that?

You can spray a little cooking spray on the stamp or put a little oil on it, and it won't be so stick.....you can also dip it in mica after you oil it and then stamp.....that's a pretty effect.

I stamp within a day of cutting.....I don't want them too firm. :)
