I'm truly a foodie and LOVE making yummy soaps...I almost licked the spatula yesterday

I just had to say that today I used an "April Fresh Downy" scented soap and it is SPOT ON....the whole house smells like fresh laundry. I'm usually not as impressed at a scent as I was with this one. If anyone loves Downy as much as I do, let me know and I will tell you where I got it!

At least it smells like spring in here...I had to put WINTER BOOTS on to go feed the chickens. I had my Ugg slippers on as usual and stepped off the porch and snow was half way up my shin...ugh.

I have one soap (not made by me) that has a lychee scent.. I love it, it's my favorite that I can buy from a soap store...

So I'm still kinda trying to find the right lychee scent... I can't buy any in our country so I need to order it online (So if anyone knows a good one, let me know :p)

The scent I like the most for the soaps I make is coconut.. It's a perfume oil I bought YEARS ago at bodyshop. I read the ingredients, and it only has coconut oil, so it should be fine.

I am liking florals a lot at the moment....Cherry Blossom from Brambleberry is my all time fave. But I can never go past citrus smells, I just love them in soaps, so fresh smelling :)

Oooooh I want to know where you got the downy! As for scents I like them all. Or most of them. It's always hard for me to decide which perfumes to wear. :)

No, Ugg! Sorry, couldn't resist  Me too. So frickin' cold here still. Last year, at 8,000 feet elevation in Colorado, no less, I was out in sleeveless shirt getting sunburned and hot working in my mom's garden. Spring WILL some though, even in Virginia!

I love florals in the spring, so I'm all about those now, especially Lilac and Violet :)

When it isn't spring I lean more toward the gothic scents. I adore MMS Twilight line, especially Jacob and Volturi. Also adore Daystar's Belle Morte, Sacred Tranquility, The Sweet Dark and Nathanial (though the latter three will discolor to a dark brown in CP). I love to soap all of these while listening to head-banging metal, weirdo that I am :)

My favorite scents are either woodsy scents or spicy scents... leaning more towards woodsy. Every time I look at scents, I find myself looking at Sandalwoods because I have not found one that smells just right to me yet. I have pine and cedarwood and keep looking for more woodsy scents. I also really enjoy cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg scents. One of these days I will get more of the scents that I want, but it is a slow process here... *sighs dramatically* ;-)

Here's the link from the ebay seller I bought the scents from...so far they have been AMAZING...my favorite yet!

I just made the "rain" scent I bought and it's just as great as the Downy! Very strong. I use the 1 oz bottle in my 22 oz recipes.

My daughter bought some kind of Teakwood candle from Bath and Body Works and it smells JUST like a Hollister store. I want to make some like that so bad. I've only found one Teakwood scent so far but it hasn't come in yet. We will see.

Well it's a good choice! If you get the 10 it's 2.50 a piece so it's not too bad. The scents are just great!

I love Gain & Downy so I need to know where to get them please girls.

I have so many favourites. Right now I'm having a blast with EO's. I also love so many FO's...

I'm finding overall I'm simply buying out of Canada. We have some wonderful suppliers and I can find pretty much what I need. Sometimes I want stuff that's not available here but there I have to look at the ROI because I am in business.

Dianne I've shipped stuff in your general direction and it is pricy! Plus I've heard you don't have a lot of suppliers?

I've made cedarwood & rosewood scented soaps and like them. I've been wondering about pine, fir, or balsam scents. Anyone have experience with them.

I have used Pine EO in the distant past and liked it (was not in soap though), and I have a FO that is Pine and citrus called Northern Pines, but it smells like PineSol. I love cedarwood, I think I need to try rosewood... too many things I want!!
