do you use most often?

I am trying to decide between a couple to keep standard. I have used jojoba oil, wheatgerm oil, avocado oil, castor oil, and grapeseed oil.

Which do you prefer?

No, actually, CP. But after a post I just did, it seems that it really doesn't matter when to add the "superfatting" oils.

Just trying to get a general like of which oils people use beyond their base oils. My base is almost always an olive oil, palm, and coconut.

Ahh, yeah, in CP you can't choose which oils get superfatted. Seems to be more luck of the draw.

But to answer your question, I've heard good things about castor oil. Just a small amount, no more than 5% to add good lather and conditioning to the soap.

Yep. Exactly what Danielito said. The best way of having control over which oil you want superfatted is to use the HP method, making sure to add the oil that you wish to remain unsaponified after the cook when there is no more 'zap' in your batter.

If I were going to HP I think it would be cool to superfat with mango butter. I love mango butter!

Mango butter? That sounds pretty neat!

I guess, then, it doesn't make sense to use the more expensive oils (like jojoba) in soap (which gets washed off the body anyways) when it may or may not be left unsaponified?
