I am stuck in the house as well with a cancer recurrence. But did muster up enough energy to try these spring bars with little birds nests and tiny Robin's eggs on top! Can't wait to cut it today.

I can’t wait to see the cut, either! Cute!

Sending you positive thoughts and wishes for wellness, @Deb's mess 💚

And here is the result. That's a light brown with the yellow. The scent is Heather and thyme with a touch of patchouli....you either love it or you don't

This building project is expensive. Ugh. I bought some lumber to build shelves for drying racks and a table top. $300 later I got out of there. I'm be so glad to finish this project.
It'll be worth it in the end! You get to say I did that!
Thanks, and yes it sure will! I built my house 85%myself, so that feeling is wonderful.

Not what I did today. But YouTube deserves my shout out. My recipe short went back up today. Apparently someone complained. I only ever claim my experiences. My kingdom for someone who asks as many questions about how lol

As I've lost more than one appeal and spent years, shadowbanned, I was pleasantly surprised to see "did not violate". It's usually just someone complaining and no reason ever given. How can correction EVER happen if the error can't be clearly shown? Being part of the solution? or the problem?

Still gotta watch out for the clickbait that literally sets noobs up for failure. Just can't go without sharing the positive! :)

It was a lye soap recipe ;)

All the best everyone :)

I was inspired by @Mobjack Bay and her awesome beach soap! I needed to make soap for a friend that orders a full loaf using NS 8th and Ocean. Not happy the usage rate dropped for future batches for this scent. I didn’t do a complete dup, more of Mobjack’ish…. I used BB Gold Shimmer for the sandy layer, and BB Mermaid blue for the middle and BB Caribbean blue for the top layer. Here’s the rough cut….

I had additional friends want bars of the @Mobjack Bay inspired beach soap, so I had a chance to make another batch. This time, I only used BB Mermaid Blue and did more shades of it lightened with TD.

Made one of the ugliest soaps in my repertoire. I was going for the first one, but only had a Cheeto-colored orange mica that I thought I could subdue with white kaolin Clay and using a smaller amount of the orange mica. But I ended up with the hideous second. At least it smells good.

What? I think that is super pretty!!

I agree with @AliOop, @Kari Howie! That soap is super pretty! I will say, we are our own worst critic.
Are we talking about the same soap? The first photo on the top is from someone else. I made the ones in the picture below that.
Nope, not a beer drinker hun. Accept it, your soap is pretty!

Also, have you noticed how similar it looks to this entry in this month's challenge? Your soap coulda been a contendah!
oh gosh! It does!
