Try heating to 165ºF before cooling. That was the advice I was given here on SMF, and it works for me.And even though I heated to clear and allowed it to cool down to 100, I've got stearic spots

That is sooo pretty!!I made soap today!
Backstory: I'm living in Minneapolis for part of the year, miles away from my soapy stash. But due to the generous provision of @dibbles, along with several basic purchases, I've accumulated enough things to make a few batches. This one is scented with WSP's Sea Salt & Driftwood. Very nice!
What kind of swirl is that? And how do I copy it? That's beautiful! Lately, I keep seeing different swirls that I love but have no idea the name of them so I can look up the how-to's.View attachment 79805

The swirl you see is only on the surface. I drizzled uncolored and blue soap batter and swirled with a glass dowel rod. Inside is a hanger swirl. What kind of swirl is that? And how do I copy it? You're not whining! The disappointment will fade after a while and you'll like your layered soap better after you make another batch. It looks great, and I love the colors!I attempted layers which did not come out as planned they’re not level (which I knew to expect) but I also got some breakage along the color changes which was disappointing. I did spray 99% isopropyl between the layers and I did drop the mold after filling to attempt to knock out all the bubbles. Maybe I sprayed too much alcohol? I probably also unmolded too early also. I’m happy overall I certainly don’t mean to be whining! But not quite what I had envisioned.
Love cutting out the middle man whenever possible!I bought olive oil at restaurant Depot. ~$101 for ~24 pounds. Not having to pay shipping paid off
Now to make my challenge soap...
It's really pretty thoughI was going to make my challenge soap but pivoted and made a slab of mango scented mango/shea/PKO/castor soap. It's yellow

The soap fully gel'd and is now stuck on the HDPE insert

Awesome looking! Yeah, that @dibbles is like the candyman, she's got what you need. Did she make you do the exchange on the DL in a parking lot as the po po cruised by?View attachment 79805

Really impressive work! Great colors and line!I cut my goats milk men's soap made with my reformulated recipe.
The lighting isn't great as I cure my soap skin the darkest room in the house, but I think my AC pencil line turned out good.View attachment 79806
I know what it's like to get something other that what you planned, but, hey, welcome to soaping! Truly, your soap is lovely and that's a great color combo. And choosing the crinkle cut just adds to the design. Those layers are tricky. I've been told to pour a layer and wait so it can set up -- but then the rest of my batter is also setting up!I attempted layers which did not come out as planned they’re not level (which I knew to expect) but I also got some breakage along the color changes which was disappointing.
