"What scent would you recommend?"

I have customers always ask me "What scent would you recommend?"

I hate this question. Scent is such a personal choice.

What would your answer to this question be?

What an odd question to ask! Hmmm... I think I would say to them, 'Whichever scent is the most pleasing to your nose', or else I would ask them what their least favorite scents are, and then steer them in the opposite direction.

I would ask what category of scent they like most. Floral, woodsy, fruity or spicy. Then go from there and narrow it down to what you have at the time .

Gah! I hate that one. I've spent more time handing over bars of soap for people to sniff, just for them to say "no", instead of them just picking up the bar themselves. I don't understand people sometimes. But, yeah, it helps if they can answer nebetmiw's question
