my standard recipe is:

32% Coconut
32% Olive
32% Palm
4% Castor

I added TD and purple ultramarine as well as eucalyptus EO and verbena lemon FO.

I made this log of soap three days ago and when cut, three bars had this greenish dot in the middle (see pic). What could this possibly be?

The purple dots I guess are undissolved color - I just purchased a frother to eliminate this in the future.

Also, any tips for ITP swirl? Note the poor attempt of white in purple ITP on the bottom layer (you can't even tell!)

TIA

I love your soap (purple is one of my favorite colors)! It's gorgeous!

My guess is that the greenish dot might be undissolved scent.

As for the white swirl- I've got the same dilemma as you. I can never seem to get really sharp, well-defined white ITP swirls in a darker colored soap (although it never seems to stop me from trying  )

Aha, yes, that it may well be. I was trying to not blend too much but perhaps I did not blend enough.

Thank you for the kind comments! I was a bit embarrassed putting a pic up in case it was crappy!

Hope someone can help us with itp swirl tips :)

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. There are people here that would almost kill to have your success. Ahem, uhh, yeah, I know about embarrassment.
Someone once told Neil Young his singing was flat. "Hey man, that's my style!" Worked well for him.

Crappy results are usually in our own eyes but everyone else looks at the results not knowing what was intended and thinks its great.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, Dennis. It is much obliged :)

I am a novice, so I don't have any answers for you. Sorry. But, I love the color combo and your beautiful white textured top. How did you get it to be so white and creamy?
