Ok the lotion bars went all crazy on me. The only change i made was up the beeswax .5%, and changed the EO. The recipe prior melted if you stared at it hard so I tweaked it. Those bars literally crumbled to pieces when I tried to pull them out. I'm thinking the EO may be the culprit so I'mgoing to try it tonight without any just to see

Here in South Texas we are supposed to get an arctic blast! 30 degrees for a couple days. Everyone runs to the store, freaks out & buy everything they can think of. I will be making soapy things and enjoying the warmth of the house. Making soap paste is on my list. I also need to pour some candles. Oh, and I am going to make shampoo bars. I made my confetti soap for the challenge but think I want to make another one. Confetti soap is really pretty, and I am thinking Spring! I did make a soap with CBD & hemp oil in it-curing now. Happy Friday & stay warm! ❄️🍷🇺🇸

Testing out my herbal infused hair oil as I type. Hoping to help with dry ends, dry scalp, and losing hair old age.

Did somebody say gumbo? 🤤

Some of you may remember that Mrs. Zing has an annual January tradition called Operation Empty Cupboard. She only buys staples like milk and eggs and uses the month to use up everything in the freezer and pantry. It makes for some interesting dishes. I got nervous today seeing dried beans, evaporated milk, and pudding mix out on the counter.

Anyhoo, I try to do the same in my soap shop. Today I used up my odds and ends of cocoa butter which I rarely use anymore and made lotion bars. I don't add essential oils because they smell good and are good for my friends with scent sensitivities.

And, um, "arctic blast" and "30 degrees" don't belong in the same sentence! Our HIGHS this weekend will be MINUS 10 degrees. I would LOVE a blast of 30 degrees!

I also have high hopes for many soapy things this weekend but won't commit to anything in writing.

Look at the cute rollerball applicators I got from Amazon! I haven't decided if I want to use for perfumes or infused oils(pain headache etc). Either way they are very pretty!

Cocoa butter is pretty precious right now. Your friends are lucky!
I love Mrs. Zing’s approach! I remember that from last year. And I know I speak for us all when I say we need to know what the dried beans, evaporated milk, and pudding recipe was… 😄

Thank you for saying that, @Vicki C, because we need to know what was made from that ingredient list…..

Um well, precisely why I live in the South. Minus 10 degrees sounds awful. But hey, you are probably used to it.

There is no getting used to anything minus for this girl. I hate being cold 🥶.

Today it is -28 C which would be -18 F
I remember days like that, not fondly, but I remember them. I lived in Winnipeg for the first 12 years of my life. Lived in Transcona, bussed to school in East Kildonan, even when it was -30F and knee deep snow. Memories, memories!

Lol now we are talking like our parents. I walked to school after the snowstorm on the road because the sidewalks weren’t plowed yet (country town) hoping a car wouldn’t slide into me. And yes in -30. Now they shut down school buses when it gets too cold 😆. Glad i could bring you some memories from over here in Winterpeg 😊
