Want to Try Making Candles - Soy or Wax?

I would like to try making candles but can't decide whether to use soy or wax. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on both of them.

Are you referring to paraffin? I use soy wax to make my container candles and a combo of soy wax, plam stearic and beeswax to make my wax melts.

Where's the best place to get soy and other candle making supplies?

definitely soy or beeswax, although beeswax is expensive to me.
