I generally let my soap cure 4-6 weeks and then store them in baseball card boxes until I need them then I wrap and label. I don't wrap before 4 weeks though.

I don't wrap before a calender month is over, and usually longer, sometimes never. If you wrap right away your soap will not be able to cure well or evenly, and will shrink smaller than the wrapping.

I tend to wrap as I go as...well, I'm kind of retentive. Post the 1 month cure, wrapping can happen any time. Right now, I have soap up to 6 weeks old still curing, but I'll eventually get motivated and wrap.

I tend to let Castile go longer. Months, in many cases, before wrapping.

It's pretty much the same for me as some of the others have mentioned. None of my bars of soap get wrapped before they've been cured for at least 4 to 6 weeks (and sometimes longer for some formulas). Once cured, I store them naked inside baseball card storage boxes. The only time I wrap is when I decide to give some away as gifts. Until then (or until one of us in the family grabs a bar to use), they stay put in the boxes naked.

I wrap soap during my 4th week of curing. I have a ton of soap to stock. I have boxes with an open area for that reason. I don't have much shrinkage due to my heavy water discount so I wrap in two areas.

1 area for the full 4 + week soap cured
1 area for soap on shelves being prepped for wrapping.

Weigh your soap once cut. Weigh the soap each week thereafter. You will then have an idea on when your stop stops the shrinking. If you wrap too early (depending on your wrapping) your soap will shrink and your packaging will loosen up. Its your choice :)
