I would have the same problem with scent oils accelerating my trace. After my lye solution was prepped, I would add my scent oils to my base oils. I would then combine everything. I discovered that no scent was diminished using this method. I hope this helps. With this method, I had about five minutes before the solution started to trace.

I was on the scent review board and on the southern garden scents portion. According to that their apple jack and peel does not accelerate. I think some said they soap cool. Good luck!
