I want to make some gift lip balms in round tubes using my beeswax

2 tsp. coconut oil
2 1/4 tsp. beeswax (or candellila wax)
2 1/8 tsp. sweet almond oil
2/3 tsp. olive oil

I hate math... if I want to add a little castor oil to this basic recipe..which oil would you reduce ? The sweet almond ? Also, if anyone know of a formula to convert this to grams I would greatly appreciate it.. :)

I'd replace olive oil.

as for converting to grams - cannot really do it without knowing more. I can look up the specific gravity of the oils, but typically the beeswax is granulated or grated but the size of those bits I don't know about.

try taking the amounts listed and weighing them. make the balm and see what you think of it - and modify from there.

thanks

thanks for the idea...

I will try it with caster instead of OO.

My beeswax is in solid blocks (I'm a beekeeper). I usually do everything by weight not volume. I could melt the wax but would have to measure REALLY quickly.

I do equal weights of:
beeswax
shea butter
cocoa butter
liquid oil (jojoba, sweet almond, whatever takes your fancy)

.....its perfect everytime.

thank you

I will have to try to locate some Sweet Almond Oil locally to try.

I have OO, CO, PO, Caster and Shea but no Almond Oil.
