Hey all,

I'm new to this whole soap making thing, and I want to make soap for myself and for birthdays of friends.

I like the glycerine transparent soap (colored) the most, but, I was thinking of trying to make some non-transparent swirl through the transparent soap. But I kinda think the titanium dioxide is expensive for just trying this out, and how it will look like.

So I was thinking, can I use chalk for this?

Thanks!

No. While chalk is generally considered non-toxic, it is not approved for cosmetic use. You're better off either picking up some TD or just buying some of the white MP base itself and trying to swirl them together.
