So... tonight I decided to do my first (planned) cphp. I've done unplanned hp when trying to save seized batches and I've done liquid soap.

What I'm wondering is... why on EARTH did I START making it at 2 am?

Now, I'm no stranger to soap-making in the wee hours of the morning... but that's when I have been in the middle of a bout of insomnia and not working 6 days a week.

In fairness to myself, I did make a batch before this tonight (gm cp no gell) and I took 2 hours trying to line these new steel square pipe molds with freezer paper (easier said than done). Ultimately, I plan on using dimethicone to lubricate the molds and not line them, but they're dirty inside (I've tried washing them, but they're 2 ft. long and I can't get to the middle because somehow, my freakishly small hands are just the teensiest bit too big. :()
I plan on a trip to Home Depot tomorrow for a big pipe cleaner, but as I wanted to try out the size of my new molds... I busted into them tonight.

ANYHOO... it's 2:28 now and it's traced but according to tutorials I've seen, it's gonna be A WHILE!

I'm so tired!

Kittywings, I am with you! I insanely went to the basement to get my crockpot to try to save a batch of cucumber soap that seized on my yesterday. It's cooking now. I hope I don't mess it up!

We shall begin a club and call ourselves Nocturnal Rebatchers.

LOL, at least I'm not "alone."

I guess I can use this time to email one of my jobs to tell them that I am, in fact, quitting.
They know that I got another (MUCH better) job, but when I saw their puppy dog eyes, I told them I would do both. However, the same night I told them this, I was (unbeknownst to them) giving the place one more shot to impress me (as I have not been making ANY money there). After working from 5pm-2am and not getting home 'til almost 3 am... all for a whopping $23, I made my decision. UNFORTUNATELY, I have been so busy since then, that I haven't told them that I have no intention of being there at 8 am tomorrow.

I feel really bad about not letting them know further in advance, but they REALLY don't need me there. I mean, since when do bartenders start at 8 am anyway?!??

OK, I'm off to email them... EEK!
