Recently I started making lip balms, bath teas and soaps and I was asked to donate some to a couple of raffles. I need a business name though! I also make jewelry and was thinking I would use the same name for both businesses (though its not necessary). I'm a social work student and plan on being a therapist.
I am a yoga teacher as well... I would make a great hippy!

I love Sanskrit names, original I wanted to name my business Avani which means earth. Sadly this is taken :( I like Healing Garden - but this is also taken.
I'm really into organics and all natural things. And I believe in the mind body connection. Any one have any ideas? I like elegant names but I am certainly open to something fun and whimsical.

let me start by saying this ... "relax, release , relate " : the name is within you. just relax and think on what you want your business and services to represent to the community and what you want people to take away from meeting you. once you have that ask yourself how can it be summed up in one word or phrase.
Amala = clean , pure
Nirav = quiet , calm ( just a thought , sense one gets taking a good bath or shower )
Nimala = clean , pure
Sabuna = soap [ hindi word ]

I am not familiar with Sanskrit so i had to look it up and those three word i found ... but i am sure you will be better in-tune than me . hope it works out for you

Sacred Earth, Earthen Elixirs, Nature's Garden. For Sanskrit Rohana or Rohan means ascending, healing, medicine.

Just taking a bit from Lion of Judah... how about Amala Boutique. I don't know if it's taken but I just thought about "The Soapistry"

Picking a name is very personal but it will come to you. Write down some names on a piece of paper and play with it, mix them up and run them by some friends. There are a lot of really great names we could pick for you but its name has got to mean something to you. It has got to in a couple of words give an image of your soap/philosophy of soapmaking.

I love all your ideas! Thank you. I am going to sit with them and play with them a bit. :)
