Hi. I thought I had posted this already but I can't find it. Hope this isn't a duplicate.
Anyway, can anyone advise me on what's going on with the oozing moisture on the outside of the soaps indicated in the attached photos?
I think it has to do with the fragrance oil. I added the fragrance oils to the melted oils first before I added the lye/milk mixture. No problems with trace, I don't think, but after I poured it into the molds, moisture beads formed on top and later, orange liquid appeared in the molds on the outside of the soaps (see pics).
Any ideas? Thoughts? Solutions? Are the soaps okay?
Thanks

I've had this happen as well. Interestingly enough, it generally happens when I add the FO to the oils before the lye. Sometimes the ooze is FO, and sometimes it's glycerin. Also it tends to happen to me with FOs that accelerate or heat up regardless of when I add them.

I don't claim to have any idea as to what causes it; but it's almost as if the soap is rejecting the FO.

I usually try to let it sit unmolded for a couple of days to see if it will reabsorb. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't reabsorb after a couple of days, I'll blot it with paper towels. Usually the soap turns out ok. :)
