Hi,

I've been making soap for years using an inexpensive kitchen scale. Not great, but OK. I've only been using the soap for family and to give as gifts. Now I'm getting into it a little more and would like to get a better scale. Still don't plan to sell, but I would like more consistency. I don't want digital. I like basic, mechanical things. What do you suggest? I saw some triple balance scales for about $55 on eBay. Is that reasonable? Is one brand as good as another?

Thanks!

id say thats def reasonable... they are good forever may need to be recal'd from time to time but i love triple beams... most accurate scale in the world and usually way more than 55 dollars...

just make sure it doesnt have any er.... residue on it from who you buy it from...if ya know what i mean.

LOL! Thank you.

residue LOL

make sure you get a set of calibrating weights. something good to have anyway. or take the easy route and use 5 US quarters for an ounce.
