Hi,

I read through the sticky on kids skin. However, I'm wondering if anyone can reccomend a good gentle products to use in a soap for a toddler.

My 16 month old has dry skin and I've tried so many baby lotions and bath washes and they don't work, I'm assuming its because of the chemicals and such.

I was hoping to make something super gentle, with good moisture content and as natural as possible for my daughter.

Also, on a bath bomb note: Are bath bombs ok for toddlers? Has anyone tried basic shea butter bath bombs for toddlers? The butterball from Lush is amazing on my skin and I was hoping to try and make something with just basic shea butter. But I'm concerned about the citric acid.

Any suggestions would be super helpful.

when my son was about 2 i took him with me to the doctor for my DD's appointment. as an afterthought i asked her to recommend something for his really dry skin. she felt it then did a double take and called in another doc to have her feel it too.
( ihad used tons of lotions and creams, natural ones and even vasoline trying to make it better)

turns out my DS had Scarlet Fever. the only other sign he showed was that his palm was peeling but since he was a thumb sucker i thought it was due to the thumb sucking.

if you have tried everything else and nothing is helping, ask a doctor first, because you never can tell what is going on in their little bodies.

peeling palms like that is one of the main sings of scarlet fever. i would use an olive oil base soap for a toddler. as for the bath bombs maybe a bath melt instead?
