My soap challenge soap was a zebra swirl w/3 colors. Chicklet I also, didn't realize a zebra and tiger were the same animal, hehehe.
DW I recently got a rather bold orange, by mistake, with red any yellow oxide. I don't really have any suggestions on amounts cause I was just winging it, but i do know it's possible. The orange appeared really muted while I poured the soap, but when I cut into it it was quite orange. Not like neon, but still yet.

OK all, the beast is in the cage, but I'm not foreseeing tiger stripes...more like psychadelic flashback. I think it was at too thin a trace, and I couldn't stop the layers from penetrating. It will be interesting to cut tomorrow. I think it's actually going to look more like flames than a tiger. BTW, on the orange, I chickened out of spices and combined mango neon, brick red and yellow oxides.

It looks cool, looking forward to seeing the cut pics :)

Looks great so far! Can't wait to see it cut! I've not allowed myself to make anymore bar soap for awhile. I've run out of space to cure! I've been satisfying the soap "itch" by making liquid soap and looking at soap pics! Thanks for all the soap pics!

I plan to do some more MPs and/or work on lip balms when I run out of space for soaps... I am thinking of storing some soap under the bed, but don't have a good way to do that without then cat getting into it that still allows for air circulation. Any suggestions?

Oooo, under the bed storage... I have to think about a way to put things under there to cure without them getting wound up in dust bunnies.

I think it looks amazing! Love how the color orange came up, good combo! Don't forget to post the cut pics, but I know you will. And don't feel like a klutz, you are an amazing soap maker, all your soaps are so pretty and bright. They make me have happy days. :) Thank you for posting videos too, we all like a good video.... say, if soap pics are soap porn, then certainly the videos are soap porn movies.... ;-) Sayin'. Here's some soap porn movies for you, Celine's making and cut videos for a couple of her tiger swirls, so you can see the technique and result. Her videos are long so I suggest fastforwarding them a little bit to see how she measures out and mixes her colors and her pouring.

Those two ladies from i am hand made crack me up. Love the soap! I love how she said it was evening and "late" to be soaping. The earliest I start soaping is usually 9:00 pm. I wait until the children are in bed. Just easier that way.

Can't wait to see your cut soap. Looks cool!

I changed my recipe to include peanut oil and I think it wasn't quite traced enough to support layering without penetration. I also added my EOs to oil before mixing, and I think that may have glowed my trace a bit...a nice trick if you need a longer pour time. I could have easily just let it set up for a couple of minutes, but it seemed plenty thick. I'm very interested to see the final outcome this evening.

Can't wait to see the cut pics! The top looks awesome. I get what you're saying about needing the batter to be thick enough that it doesn't penetrate the layer below, but even at a thinner trace it still turns out well. It does penetrate the layer below, but I guess because you're only pouring down the center it turns out fine. My first pic - the batter was definitely thin at the start. You can sort of see the midway mark where the batter started to thicken up.
