Soooo some interesting things happen when I try to make beer soap apparently. :D

We made a honey almond with cocobutter this time too, that one came out nice smelling, nice and solid, the drop swirl didnt work at ALL (oh well) but beyond the interesting colors and some cracking on top (I really gotta find out whats causing that) It seems fine usability wise so far.

The exact opposite with the beer one.

It LOOKS amazing. Perfect even. I colored it so that the top of the bars would have a foam look (Like real beer)
But they were very oily when I took them out a day later, on top, on sides, it was intense. The color came out nice, the foam on top looks GREAT except for....its not 'adheared' to it properly, it can come off and it seems that there is a layer (very thin) of oil that seems to let the top layer slide completely off! O.O

Below are pictures of what I mean the last picture shows the top off one of the bars. :/

Thoughts and suggestions welcome as always. :)

Pic 1: is honey+ almond the rest is the beer soap

Also today is a busy week, I promised the room mate some pumpkin pie scented soaps too, so I gotta get those done tomarrow lol.

Were the recipes for the beer body and foam the same or different? What fragrance(s) did you use? How old is the soap? If it is still pretty young & soft and you didn't let it gel, I'd just be gentle with it for a few days. The oils may reabsorb and allow the two layers bond better.

They both look nice, by the way!

Same recipe, mixxed seprate (Obviously). No fragrances at all. Soap is about 30 hours as of this post. It had a pretty damn full Gel cycle, I cut it at about the 22 hour mark. The top seemed rather soft, but the rest was fine.

I always spray rubbing alcohol between layers, it really helps with adhering layers. The higher percentage the better - I can get 91 percent at Walmart...

I would try some clear M&P between the layers that are separating. This might just glue them back together.

Im going to let them dry as is, and see what happens, if they seperate the 'foam' from the 'beer' so be it, it will leave a neat texture lol :D
I will pick up some rubbing alcahol though. How does that work for you? Right after you pour, spray top, pour second layer?
