I've been grounded from buying anymore oils for awhile but I really wanted to make soap this morning so I went through what I had left and decided to come up with a gentle facial bar.
I used some oils in higher amounts then I normally would and I finally took the plunge and used that peanut oil I've had for awhile before it goes bad. These are personal bars so no worries about peanut allergies.

Used 100% coconut cream instead of water. If my calculations are right, the SF should be 12-13%. scented with OMH.

weird numbers but I had to work with what I had left.

sunflower oil 40.18%
peanut oil 18.77%
avocado 17.6%
palm kernel flakes 11.73%
lard 11.73%

Can't wait to see how this one is. Hopefully it will agree with my skin.

I'm getting ready to make a facial soap as well...if I can get away from the computer! Those are a weird combo, but you never know...it may be the best bar you ever made.

I'm going to use a modified version of Genny's poo bar. But you gave me an idea to use up a small amount of lard that I have left. I really liked the feel of the one lard soap that I made. Everyone around here is yuck...lard! But what a wonderfully feeling soap. Let us know how yours turns out.

wow! that soap looks so bizarre! I even put it in soapcalc b/c I was curious to see the numbers... can't wait to see the results!

I've only had one person question the lard and she was ok with it as long as it was a small percentage. I do live in a rural area though and most people here hunt so its not surprising that no one really bats a eye over animal fats.

It is quite bizarre. I started wanting to do a 100% sunflower but I didn't have enough then I spotted the peanut and figured I should use it up. After plugging those in soapcalc, it looked really weird so I added the others to balance it out a bit.

I'm kinda wishing I would have HP it so I can try a scrape today, I really hate waiting to test new recipes.

I can never wait....I can last about a week before trying a sliver....

Update on this soap. I've been using this on my face every morning for 4 days now, its super conditioning and leaves my face feeling silky soft.
The bar has a odd slimy, almost oily feel to it but add a bit more water and it lathers up really nice. It doesn't rinse as easy as other soaps but its not bad.
I do really like this recipe and I expect it will be fabulous after a longer cure. It seems to be the perfect facial bar for winter use on dry skin. It isn't cleansing enough for really oily skin though.
