I'll start with the good, lavender-mint, swirled in a pvc mold. I am very happy with how it turned out.

The bad: I learnt that I need to be more patient with cutting as both soaps were too soft to cut, and have dents in them now. I forgot to scent the funel swirl one, it is now unscented cocoa as it has both cocoa butter and powder in it. I also learnt that making your own wire cutter is not that easy and should not be done with jewelry wire, a pencil and duct tape. It will break on you, and if you've never used one before your soaps will come out uneven. Good thing these are test batches!

The UGLY. All I have to say is WTF! This is the last time I just use cling wrap, or alcohol spray... I tried both for over kill. I'm sticking with a cover, and leaving it to fate.

This message has been brought to you by your Canadian Broadcast Station. Yup I'm a dork!

Beautiful clean lines between colours in the cocoa one. It's great, nice and smooth too.
The green is lovely also.
I think sometimes we are too hard on ourselves.
I can't see any of the faults you are talking about, I see great soap!

They look pretty good from here too. What's wrong with the bar in the bottom photo? Has it got ash? I can't see it properly. You still have to slice it up and it will be pretty inside.

both of those batches look really awesome cut though, I like them both!

Yeah, it has really bad ash and kinda looked moldy, it's nice cut though!
