For those of you that are producing at scale, do you keep your lye tank temperature controlled and your oils base in a separate temperature controlled tank?
I would like to have both ready to mix instead of having to melt / heat anything when it's production time.

I currently use bucket warmers for my oil mix but am exploring best practices for the lye solution.

Thanks!

I wouldn’t maintain any heat. I don’t want to degrade the oils. I mix in a 5 gallon bucket and mix well before dispersing. My lye is master batched and used at room temp.

I keep my master-batched lye in a recycled laundry detergent bottle that is stored in my soap supply cabinet. I use it at room temp, which is normally around 68-70 in winter, and 75-80 in summer.
