Tea?

I might make more soap tomorrow (would be my second batch) and I thought using chamomile tea would be cool.

Could I make a castile soap with tea water and tea herbs in it? I can't find a recipe online like that so maybe that's a bad idea?

I have lard, coconut oil and olive oil. How could I incorporate tea in that somehow? Or would it come out badly? Since I am so new to this I am afraid a bad experience might turn me off so early on in this new found hobby.

I use all different types of tea to dissolve the lye, instead of water. I personally don't like herb bits in my soap, or if I use them I puree them so they are very small, little specs. Just my preference.

The tea might change the color of your soap, usually beige, depending on the type and concentration it could go browner than beige. Expect beige, tan, brown, not green. Green tea will not make green soap.

I usually infuse my oil with the chamomile, but a tea will work just fine. Just make sure that you freeze it, so that it doesn't burn. I have added the flower petals to the soap and they looked lovely in it. Lard, coconut and olive sound fine. Don't forget to run the recipe through soapcalc. Don't forget to let us know how it turned out.

You can freeze it like RoseB suggested or use enough water (same amount of water weight as lye weight or just slightly more water by weight than lye) to dissolve your lye and the rest of the water weight in tea, mixed in with your oils or added at trace.
