Is your liquid 100% milk? Mine all turn a beautiful shade of tan, but it throws off the colors....blue blue becomes teal, etc. TD helps, but that fades out the darker colors.

I do use 100% in a couple recipes. I freeze the milk and add the lye very very slowly. I do get pretty true colors. I also use unrefined shea & cocoa butter as well as silk so I do add a little bit of TD to the base then separate and color. I use the micas from Nurture Soap Supplies and some from TKB as well as oxides, ultramarines and clays and have had really good luck.

I've given a dear friend's grandmother multiple bars over the years - they are all being "saved" and there's a bar of Dial in her bathroom. :-(

Oh my goodness..I have that issue as well....

Well, sort of..my mom shows interest {she's the one I was worried about with the aluminum bowl lol} and she has been claiming she LOVES my soaps..says she isn't dry as a lizard anymore, uses em all the time....well I have like 4 different bars of soap in her bathtub that I know for a fact have not moved..just discovered today that she has a hidden bar of soap in a box...from some other soaper! I was stunned none the less :(

Then my sister...she kept a bar of my soap in her bathroom for the smell..then decided after months that she didn't want it anymore, and brought it back....:(
