Suitable stirrer attachment

Hi there,
i'm trying to find the appropriate stirrer to mix batches 8 pounds and above. The first choice is a big commercial stick blender. The second one is to find the most suitable type of stirrer and attach it to a drill or a paint mixer or any other mechanism.

I have never tired such a big batch before. I can't really tell.

Just by gut feeling, #6 don't really seem suitable as the material don't look stainless steel.

I don't suggest the specific one in the picture. For sure it's not the one i prefer.
I just like to find out which type of stirrer or what kind of blades are better for mixing oils and lye.
It's the blades of the stick blender that do the best job? If so, i suppose that a stirrer attachment with similar blades would do the same job also?

I just did a (much smaller) batch with a stirrer similar to your #3 and it worked just fine. If I'd had a way to do it without holding the drill up, it would have been even better.

Mine is a model for 1-2 gal paint buckets, but I'm sure a one of the larger attachments would work fine.

I've used the same one for many batches and now i use a bigger one.
I'm making olive oils and because of the long time stirring i wonder if it's not only the olive that delays trace time but also the stirrer. I hear all the time about the stick blender and i wonder if i must use one too or a stirrer with the same blades as the stick blender's.

Definitely not the kitchen aid item- it is designed to whipping egg whites and cream. You probably would be best with a paddle type painter mixer that does not put a lot of air into the soap.

I use a stick blender on my 16# (oils) batches. If you have the right size soap pot it will work. My usual size is 12# of oils but if I use my wider stockpot I can use my stick blender for the 16# batches.

P.S. Kitchenaid makes a longer blending arm for their hand blender so it's possible to make even bigger batches with a regular hand blender. I may invest in one.

I currently use a paddle type painter mixer. I think i'm happy, but i'm not sure if there is something better than that.
