Sugar to fat ratio for sugar scrub

Haven't made emulsifying scrubs for a bit, but back when I did, I preferred to measure the ratio based on the scrub "base" not just the fats. It was easier that way. Weigh the base material and calculate the sugar weight directly from that.

I liked about 1.5 parts sugar to 1 part of base by weight -- so 1500 g sugar in 1000 g base

I started making is emulsified because after a few days the sugar would set and there would be a “puddle” of oils on the top of the mixture inside the jar and I don’t like it.
But I just realized that the recipe I have is for 0.6 parts of sugar for 1 part of base. OMG.
I’ll spend this weekend reformulating my sugar scrubs! Thank you so much!
