I bought a sugar cookie FO today and I'm going to mix it with lemon EO to get a Lemon Meringue Pie smell. I've put the two in a bag and it smells how I want.
Does sugar cookie discolour ? I'm going to do a log and have yellow on the bottom with a textured top in white. I was thinking to leave the white unscented and put both scents in the base yellow(oxide). Would the yellow oxide hold the colour enough if it did change ?

I'd guess that it does discolor since so many bakery scents have a fair amount of vanilla. Do you have a VS? I've been using the one from NG with very good results so far.

I know Sugar Cookie Brulee from NG discolors a very dark brown. I agree with Nancy. Most scents like this will discolor because of the vanilla content.

No I don't have a VS. So maybe I'll have to come up with another idea. I so wanted to have a soap that looks and smells like lemon meringue pie. I know you can get an FO thats smells like that but I live in Australia and would have to put in an order to the US just to get one FO that I'm after. Can't get that here yet. I might have to put in an order with a supplier here and get some VS.

Thanks for your replies.

I wish I could help you. Have you talked to your suppliers to see if they can recommend something?

eta: I just thought of something. Could you and the other Australian soapers do a FO co-op? If you got together and purchased in bulk, would it help reduce the price enough to make it worthwhile to order?

We could probably do a co-op, but still don't think there is enough of us here and everyone would want different stuff.

Most suppliers here would say thats all we have at the moment. Aussies don't have the buying power as our population isn't that big.

Thanks anyway
Relle.
