Some of you might remember awhile back when I tried to make a sugar bar with a mix of HP and M & P. http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?t=38214
I really didn't think these would ever amount to much. They were so soft and sticky when cut, I figured they would go in the garbage one day.
I decided to just let them sit and cure, more out of curiosity then anything. I almost tossed them today just because I'm sick of looking at them but first I gave them a try.
I was really surprised, they hardened up quite a bit. I can still make a dent if I push hard but they seem to be usable now. The amount of bubbles was spectacular and my skin seems soft, almost makes me wish I would have used some scent.
I'll be trying a bar in the shower tomorrow to see how feel. They aren't scrubby like I was hoping for but they don't seem drying and the large amount of bubbles might make them fun for kids.
I might get brave and try a CP sugar bar. Maybe with a water discount and larger sugar crystals, it won't all dissolve.
